Term Project: Impact of P2P Filesharing on Society

Description: Peer to peer network connection are used for files sharing especially software programs, music albums, movies, pictures etc... just about anything is being shared via P2P. Some of the famous communications protocol are Bit-torrents and there are many clients that allow users to create a torrent and start sharing files. The impact on society has both positive and negative consequences. Users are able to download a vast amount of digital media but are are also consuming a lot of bandwidth and stealing from company that invested millions into their products.
